What Are Source Financial Documents?

Written by Connor Carey

When you submit financial data through the FHR Exchange portal, you may be asked — or required, depending on your customer's program specifications— to attach source financial documents to support your submission.

Source financial documents are the original financial records that back up the figures you have manually entered into the system. Examples include:

  • Annual reports

  • Audited or unaudited financial statements

  • Income statements and balance sheets

  • Tax filings (e.g. corporate tax returns)

  • Management accounts

  • Any other official financial records your company uses

Important: Uploading source documents does not affect your rating calculation. They are used for verification and record-keeping purposes only.

These documents give RapidRatings' analysts a reference point to verify the accuracy of the data you've entered. They are stored securely and are not shared publicly — access is limited to the RapidRatings team and, where applicable, the customer who received your FHR report.
