Your ActionPath is marked Outdated whenever RapidRatings releases a new FHR for your company, meaning you submitted more recent financial data. The status is a signal that your plan was built on an earlier financial period. It does not change any of your strategies, targets, or commentary, and it does not restrict access for you or for any client you have shared with.
What Triggers the Outdated Status
Any update to your company's financial data sets your ActionPath to Outdated. This includes a new Financial Health Rating (FHR), and it also includes a financial data update that leaves your FHR score unchanged. The trigger is the arrival of new financial data, not a movement in your score.
The status is applied whether or not your ActionPath is shared. If you have built an ActionPath and no client currently has access to it, it is still marked Outdated when new financials are released, and you can still open and view it normally.
The Email You Receive
RapidRatings sends a dedicated email when your ActionPath becomes Outdated. It arrives within one hour of the status being set and is separate from the notification you receive about your FHR update. The email goes to your organization's account holder, the same recipient who receives ActionPath access emails.
The email names any clients who currently have access to the Outdated ActionPath so you can see who is reading plan content based on prior period data. A link in the email takes you directly to your ActionPath.
What Happens When You Open an Outdated ActionPath
Opening the ActionPath pulls in your latest financial and rating data. Your projected FHR is recalculated against the updated figures, so the projection reflects your current position rather than your position when you built the plan.
Two validation checks then run automatically across your strategies: Ratio Target Validation and Insufficient Data. Both checks run only when you open an Outdated ActionPath. Neither is ever triggered by your own edits.
Opening the ActionPath does not clear the Outdated status. The status clears only when you publish. Clients see your Published version, so clearing the status on open would remove the indicator from their view while the content they can read is still based on the earlier financial period.
Strategies Flagged as Requires Review
Where a validation check raises an issue, the affected strategy carries a Requires Review indicator. You cannot publish your ActionPath while any Requires Review flag is outstanding.
Ratio Target Validation
A Ratio Target Validation flag is raised when your current actual figure has met or surpassed the target you set for that ratio. The comparison follows the direction in which the ratio improves. For a ratio where a lower number is better, such as receivable days, the target is surpassed when your actual has fallen to or below it.
The message on the strategy explains that the target appears to have been achieved. Reaching a target is not a problem in itself. The flag exists so that you decide whether the strategy should stay in your plan as it is, or whether a new target better reflects where you are now.
There are two ways to resolve the flag.
You can check the acknowledgement checkbox. This clears the flag and keeps the strategy exactly as it is, regardless of the current target value.
You can edit the target value instead. Saving a new value counts as your review, so the flag clears without a separate acknowledgement. Targets are set per ratio across the whole ActionPath, which means editing one target acknowledges every strategy that uses that ratio. The acknowledgement holds whatever value you saved, including a value your current actuals already meet. Editing a target never raises a new flag.
Acknowledgements last until the next financial release. When new financial data arrives for your company, every acknowledgement on your ActionPath is voided. If the target is still met or surpassed by the new figures, the flag is raised again at your next review.
Insufficient Data
An Insufficient Data flag is raised when a strategy targets a ratio that depends on a financial field missing from your new data. Without that field, the target cannot be evaluated.
To clear an Insufficient Data flag, remove the affected strategy from your ActionPath.
Annual revenue growth is handled differently. If your current annual revenue growth value is missing, the strategy receives a Ratio Target Validation flag rather than an Insufficient Data flag, so you can clear it with the acknowledgement checkbox and keep the strategy in your plan.
How to Clear the Outdated Status
Publishing is what clears the status. Resolve every Requires Review flag first, then publish.
If you have reviewed the refreshed data and decided your strategies still hold, you can publish without making any changes. The publish confirmation asks you to confirm that your ActionPath is up to date with the latest financials. Confirming removes the Outdated indicator for you and for every client with access, and updates the Last Updated date to the current date.

What Your Clients See
Clients with access see an Outdated indicator on your company profile page and within the ActionPath view. They can still read your full ActionPath without restriction. The indicator tells them the plan is based on prior period financial data. It does not hide or limit any of the content.
The indicator is removed for all clients at the moment you publish.
