You decide who sees your Financial Health Rating and your financial data on the FHR Exchange. RapidRatings uses the financial data you submit only to generate your FHR, and we never share your rating or reports with another party without your authorization. This article explains how that control works in practice: who at RapidRatings can access your data, what your clients see, how to approve or revoke client access, and what happens when things change.
Who at RapidRatings can access your data
Access to the financial data you submit is limited to the systems and personnel needed to generate your FHR. The data is not used for any other purpose, and it is not shared outside RapidRatings without your authorization. These commitments are set out in our Non-Disclosure Agreement, which you accepted when you registered your account.
Who at your clients can see your rating and reports
Only the clients you have approved for access can see your rating and reports, and the amount of financial detail they see is set by your disclosure level:
Standard Transparency Report (full FHR Report): includes your FHR and your underlying financial statement data
Summary Disclosure Report: includes your FHR and the headline analysis, but excludes all financial statement data
You can set your disclosure level at the point of approving a share, and you can change it at any time afterwards. For a side-by-side comparison of what each level includes, see FHR Report Disclosure Levels.
How to approve a client's access
When a client requests access to your rating, you approve the share directly from your FHR Exchange account. You choose the disclosure level at the point of approval. There is no third-party involvement in this step: approvals are entirely in your hands.
How to revoke a client's access
You can stop sharing with any client at any time by contacting RapidRatings' Member Services team. Revocations are currently handled by Member Services rather than directly from your account, so a short message or call to the team is the fastest way through.
Two things worth knowing before you revoke:
Your client will be notified when their access is removed. This can affect the commercial relationship, so it is worth considering the timing and whether a direct conversation with your client makes sense first.
Revocation only removes future access. Reports your client already downloaded or exported before the revocation remain with them.
What happens when your rating updates
When a new FHR is published for your company, the updated rating and report are automatically released to every client you have an active share with. You do not need to re-approve the share each time.
If you do not want a specific client to receive your next update, revoke their access before the update is published.
What happens to your data if you stop sharing
Stopping shares removes your clients' access to your rating and reports. It does not remove your data from RapidRatings. Per the terms you accepted at registration (see our Discloser Terms), your submitted financial data is retained even when no active shares exist. You keep full control of future sharing: you can approve new client access at any time, and the data is still there to support your next FHR when you submit updated financials.
