Registering a RapidRatings account is a required step in completing any request on the FHR Exchange. Financial data cannot be accepted through email, fax, direct handoff to a client, or any channel other than the FHR Exchange portal. This article explains why the account requirement exists and answers the most common questions about alternative submission methods.
Why the account requirement exists
The account requirement serves two purposes: security and value.
On security, the FHR Exchange encrypts financial data at rest and in transit using current best-practice algorithms. Submissions received through any other channel — email, fax, cloud file shares, direct handoff to a client — cannot be verified, audited, or processed by our rating engine, which is why they will not be accepted.
On value, your account is what allows you to access your FHR Report once the rating is complete, respond to future client requests without re-registering, and take advantage of the benefits included with your membership tier. Members who submit through the portal get recurring value from the platform; members who submit through other channels do not.
Can I send financials by email instead?
No. For security reasons, RapidRatings cannot process financial data received via email. Emailed submissions will not be accepted. This applies to attachments, links to cloud storage, and any other form of email-based transmission.
Can I send financials directly to my client instead?
No. Your client has partnered with RapidRatings specifically to have an independent, standardized Financial Health Rating produced for their risk management program. If financial information is sent directly to your client rather than through the FHR Exchange, the rating cannot be produced and the client's request cannot be completed.
Submitting through the portal is not an extra step — it is how the rating gets produced. There is no parallel path where your client can process the financials themselves.
What if my company's policy prevents us from creating accounts on third-party platforms?
We understand this can be a barrier, and it is one we hear from members whose organizations have strict vendor onboarding requirements. The account requirement is not waivable — for the same security and processing reasons above, there is no alternative channel that can be substituted.
That said, the FHR Exchange is designed to meet the standards most vendor-review processes require. If your security or procurement team needs documentation to complete their review, contact Member Services and we will provide what they need. Members whose companies have this policy consistently find that the review is straightforward once the right materials are in front of the right team.
What creating an account involves
Registration takes less than five minutes. You will enter basic contact information, create a password, and review and sign our Non-Disclosure Agreement. Your email address serves as your username. Once your account is created, the submission portal opens automatically for the request that brought you here.
RapidRatings does not send marketing emails unless you opt in. Communications from us will relate to a mutual client's risk management program or to your own FHR.
For instructions on submitting once your account is created, see How to submit financial data on the FHR Exchange.
