The FHR Exchange has two built-in security features that can sign you out: your session automatically expires after 30 minutes of inactivity, and your account locks after 5 consecutive failed login attempts. If your session times out, your work is not lost — just log back in. If your account is locked, follow the instructions in the lockout email or chat with Member Services. Each is explained below.

Session timeout: why you're logged out after inactivity

For security, your FHR Exchange session automatically expires after 30 minutes of inactivity. When your session expires, you're redirected to the login page and will need to log in again to continue. This is expected behavior and helps protect your account if you step away.

Will I lose my work if my session times out?

No. If your FHR Exchange session times out, your in-progress work is not lost. Log back in and you can continue where you left off.

Account lockout: what happens after failed login attempts

For security, your FHR Exchange account is locked after 5 consecutive failed login attempts. When your account is locked, the FHR Exchange sends an email notification to your registered email address with instructions for regaining access.

How to unlock your FHR Exchange account

If your FHR Exchange account is locked after failed login attempts, follow the instructions in the lockout email sent to your registered email address. If you don't receive the email or still can't get in, chat with our Member Services team and we'll help you unlock your account.
